paintedstork.com was initially built as a personal website by Arun, once an IT professional turned freelance travel writer and photographer. With growing readership and content focused on travel and photography, paintedstork.com aims to be a comprehensive guide with personal insights and photographs for travelling in India. The aim is to cover beautiful places across the length and breadth of India. 

The name paintedstork has nothing to with the content of this website. Painted Storks are a colorful species of migratory birds that come to breed in South India. I just happen to like them

The Digital Photography Blog normally publishes personal insights to photography, a few images and interesting news from the world of photography. You can see a comprehensive set of images on India Image Gallery. 

Most of the images posted are shot with Canon EOS 350D, 100-400L telephoto lens and 17-40L wide angle lens.

How is this site supported?

This site runs on ad revenues. You see some ads on most of the pages which contributes some revenue. But it is only a small part of the money needed to maintain travel journals and photography equipment.
