But Corbett, with a Himalayan river flowing in the park and foothills rising all around the it, has one of the most beautiful landscapes that India’s National Parks can offer. And especially in winter, the golden glow of the morning and evening makes it worth being there. I woke up early in the morning everyday when I was there, and spent a good time photographing this landscape. Here are some of those images.

Ramaganga river and the Himalayan foothills.

Wildflowers in the grasslands of the national park adjoining Dhikala tourist complex.

Another view of the Ramaganga early in the morning.

Mysitcal seeming landscape of Corbett.

Sometimes, the landscape seems African more than Himalayan.

A wildboar feasts on grass on the riverbed.

Sunrays penetrating the sal tress in the National Park

More on Corbett National Park at paintedstork.com
* Images from Corbett
* Arriving at Corbett
* First day at Corbett: safari day trip to Dhikala
* Corbett: In the nature – A struggle between fear and love
* The desperate tourist’s tiger hunt
* Photo Essay: Landscapes of Corbett
* My Days in Corbett
* Encounter with Pachyderms
* Information about Corbett National Park
* Moving on from Corbett

Auli -> Rishikesh -> Corbett National Park -> Varanasi -> Agra +Previous: Hunting for the Tiger+Next: The days spent in Corbett+Go to beginning of the series Corbett is more known for its tigers and elephants than anything else.
