SAYONARA 35mm FILM?
Friday, August 12, 2005
The clock seems to be ticking faster than ever for 35mm film. More and more users are going digital and there are few takers for 35mm film cameras. The demise of the film appears to be happening sooner than we thought. News from everywhere seems to confirm the fact.1. A UK's retailer has decided to stop selling 35mm film cameras.
2. A Canadian media website reports on decline of film
3. 80% of the people in US prefer digital
While all this news indicates the trend, looking around your neighborhood tourist spots or checking out with your friends provides a much stronger evidence. Few people use film cameras and fewer people think about buying a film camera. 35mm film may soon be on its way out.
