Looking Back at Old Images
I was sitting and browsing through my old images yesterday when I came across images from Sikkim I made four years ago. That was the first time I tried to get a little serious about photography, and had carried a tripod and two lenses(both kit lenses) for a high altitude multi-day hike. It was also the first time I had tried my hands on shooting with transparency film.

When I came back from the trip, I had impressed myself about the images. I was new to photography, and was given many 'pat-in-backs' from my non-photographer friends. I had come to assume that I had a future in photography. Over time these were forgotten and realization came that I am still a long way from making good photographs. Four years later, I am still struggling to make quality photos, but at least I have stopped admiring my bad images! I guess that is part of progress too.
Like most aspiring photographers, I gave up on my dreams of going full time in photography a few years after I started. But the passion has persisted and the desire to make best photographs has remained. Going has been slow on this but there have been some inspiring moments when people have come asking for my images.
